Responsibilities include: assist in the layout, fabrication, assembly, and testing of electronic equipment; assist in the selection and purchase of materials, components, and supplies, interact with vendors; install, calibrate, operate, and/or maintain equipment and experimental hardware and/or computer systems in the Laboratory or in the field; and identify system faults, repair or adjust equipment as required.
Requires Associate’s degree in Electronics or equivalent. Light physical effort is required to assemble and/or operate equipment. Experience in Electronics or Electromechanics is required. Computer literacy, general experience in operating electronic test equipment, and the ability to assemble and test electronic circuitry is also required.
The job requires travel to field test sites. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation. U.S. Citizenship required. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
