Sri Loka Bhagavathy Temple

Shree Kurumbha Bhagavathy is the presiding deity at Kodungallur in kerala and she is the protector of all mankind and the mother who showers her love and affection on one and all without any bias.As per our puranas the Goddess originated from the third eye of Lord Shiva to kill an asura by name Daruka. The temple of Shree Bhagavathy Amman at Kodungaiyur, Chennai was built in the year 1990 by the hard work and effort of our Guruji. This temple although small in area has become popular over the period of time and people from all walks of life descend here for the blessings of Goddess Bhagavathy. The temple had separate shrines for Ganesha and Muruga. Later in the year 1991 the temple for Shri Grahastha Shastha was added to the existing temple.Other than daily pujas ,special pujas are conducted on important festival days.
Every year ThiruVilakku puja is performed in the month of January to mark the kumbabhisekam of Shree Bhagavathy Amman. Similarly cultural programmes are organised during Onam mark the kumbabhisekam of Shree Gruhastha Shastha
Shree Rajarajeswara Swamigal became one among the existing group of bhakthas in the year 2001 and has been guiding us since then. The Jeernoddharana Kumbabhishekam of the temple was performed on August 22 ,2004 after renovation and few additions to the existing temple.
