Research and Development Engineer

The primary responsibility for this job is the real-time implementation for processing algorithms in the C++ programming language on an embedded system. Duties will include embedded system design, development, and implementation. Participate as a key member of the technical team developing the system. Support in-house and in-field test activities.

This job will be filled at the appropriate level, depending upon the successful candidate’s education and experience. Minimum educational and work-related experience requirements are: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Science, or Computer Science, (Master’s degree preferred) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in real-time implementation of processing algorithms in the C++ programming language, an understanding of basic classical physics concepts, knowledge of vehicle dynamics and control and knowledge of underwater acoustics required. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation. U.S. Citizenship required. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
