Responsible for designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting administrative computer programs to solve problems or gain desired results. The major areas of emphasis will be a financial or business information mainframe, the Purchasing Card, and the Employee Reimbursement System. This job requires development of programs and procedures that will be used throughout the University as a whole and that will be used exclusively by the Corporate Controller’s Office.
This job will be filled at the appropriate level, depending upon the successful candidate’s education and experience. Minimum educational and work-related experience requirements are: Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s degree preferred) or an equivalent combination of education and experience in computer programming and systems design. Knowledge of Natural is desirable.
Candidate must be team-oriented and have knowledge of administrative applications development, Web-based technologies and standards, and mainframe technologies and standards. Must also have excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills as well as excellent organizational abilities. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire.
